Construction exempt from “Stay at Home” order

California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti have released emergency stay at home orders in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.  The Los Angeles City order in collaboration the State of California and Los Angeles County direct, “residents must isolate themselves in their residences, subject to certain exceptions.”  Those exemptions include construction activity on the grounds that construction is “critical in order to protect the health and well-being of all Californians.”  None of the orders prevent smaller municipalities from enacting stricter orders.  None of these orders prevent individual businesses, shops and contractors that may be exempt from shutting down operations.  As information changes and becomes available, we will do our best to provide accurate, relevant and up to date information.
