Action Needed for a CWA in Anaheim

Urgent Action Needed from Anaheim Members

On Tuesday, December 3, 2019, the Anaheim City Council will be voting to approve a Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) for a five year term with the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building Trades Council, and the signatory Craft Councils and Local Unions. The Community Workforce Agreement will ensure prevailing wages, local higher and veteran preferences for public works projects in the city. We need the help of our members to let the mayor and city council know how important this is to you.

Follow the link above to reach out to your city council representative and the mayor. If you don’t know who your representative is, you can use the interactive map and type in your address.

From there you can call or email your council representative and let them know that you support the Community Workforce Agreement. You can let them know how creating jobs for residents of the city is very important, and how working on projects close to home is a benefit to you.

If you would like to speak at the meeting or be in the audience to show your support, the city council meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Anaheim City Council Chambers, 200 S Anaheim Boulevard, Anaheim, CA 92805 at 5:00pm. If you wish to speak please arrive no later than 4:15pm.
