Labor Marches at LA Pride

Hundreds of thousands celebrated on the streets of West Hollywood this past weekend at the 2019 LA Pride festival with music, dancing, and the much anticipated parade on Sunday morning. Led by UFCW Local 770, union members marched in support of our LGBTQ community. Click here to view more photos.

Stamp Out Hunger Unity Day: LA Fed & United Way

The Los Angeles United Way and the LA Fed spent the day sorting through millions of pounds of food collected at the NALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Click here to view pictures of the event.

With over 70 million pounds collected, the NALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is one of the largest in the world collecting food for some of the most underserved communities in the nation. New Civic Leadership Academy
Cohort Begins

We kicked off the 5th cohort of our Civic Leadership Academy on Saturday, June 8 with union members from every background and industry. We are set to train a record number of graduates this year with our next cohort scheduled to begin in the fall. Information on our next cohort will be available soon.

Women Build LA/OC

It’s no secret that women are a small minority in the Building Trades. Currently, women make up only 3% of the construction workforce. Our sisters and brothers of the LA/OC Building and Construction Trades Councils are working to change that with the Second Annual Women Build LA/OC Conference held on Saturday, June 1.

Tradeswomen taught workshops, led discussions, and informed young women of the opportunities that come with a good trade union job.


Juneteenth Block Party
