Register Now for the New SBCTC Safety Training on Electrical Hazards for Non-Electricians
The State Building and Construction Trades Council has just opened registration for the new train-the-trainer classes for Electrical Hazards for Non-Electricians. Statistics show that 70% of construction workers who die from electrocutions are NOT electricians. Electrical hazards are on every job site – and workers who use scaffolding, metal ladders, aluminum extension poles, long-handled metal tools or heavy equipment near live electrical current, are more at risk of injury or death.
The 2-day classes will be held in Sacramento, San Bernardino and San Leandro (San Francisco Bay Area) in April and May. These classes will be helpful to apprenticeship instructors, foremen, superintendents, employer safety reps, and others who train workers.
See the attachments to VIEW THE FLYER for additional details or to PRINT THE REGISTRATION FORM and follow the directions on the form for faxing or emailing. To register online go to: https://fs25.formsite.com/SBCTC/form36/index.html
This program is funded by a Federal OSHA Susan Harwood grant, enabling the SBCTC to offer the classes at no cost to eligible participants.
